It is a privately owned estate featuring so many ceremony and reception options, plus one of our *favorite* features– overnight accommodations for the bridal party and family!
This venue started out as a mountain family retreat in 1978 and has since transformed into a gorgeous venue with a Tuscan Flair perfect for weddings and retreats.

2. Woodburn Historic House, Pendleton, SC
All of the venues that make this list are special, but this is definitely at the top of our list too! This space easily accommodates up to 400 guests. It features a four-story white clapboard house built in the 1830s, and a brick walkway leading from the Woodburn House to the Carriage House.
If you are looking for whimsical + fairy tales, and rich historic features, this is your place! From moss covered carriage houses with crystal chandeliers to rich, mature landscaping. We were blown away by all of the beautiful details and magical little outbuildings tucked inside this space.

There are three main options for your ceremony. The first being the Victorian Carriage House. It makes the perfect backdrop for a dreamy, whimsical, fairytale-like wedding. You can also have your ceremony at the front of the Woodburn House, or in the open lawn.
For your reception, there are also a few options. Some choose to have their reception set up on the front lawn, or you can choose to have it under the covered pavilion with lighting and overhead fans.

WHY WE LOVE THEM
If you're looking for a venue that’s full of charm but still easy to work with, Woodburn Historic House is it! The staff is friendly, responsive, and genuinely cares about making sure your day runs smoothly. While it's not an all-inclusive venue, they’re super helpful and happy to answer questions or point you in the right direction with vendors.
The property itself is beautiful, think open lawns, huge old trees, and a historic home that makes the perfect photo backdrop. It’s a great blank canvas if you want to bring in your own rentals and decor, and the space can be for both small, intimate weddings or larger celebrations.
Located in Pendleton, it’s just a short drive from Clemson and Anderson, which makes it convenient for guests and vendors alike. There's plenty of parking, and the laid-back vibe makes setup and teardown pretty stress-free. The farm’s just outside Greenville with plenty of parking and lots of pretty spots for photos, think pond views, rolling hills, and open fields. You can bring your own vendors, so you have total freedom to personalize your day.

The interior of the barn features a ballroom style with white shiplap walls and large wooden beams. There is plenty of space for weddings large and small, and the large open room makes it perfect to transition from one to the other. This space also has a bridal suite in the upstairs.
If you are wanting some fresh air, there is a beautiful outdoor space that can be used for a ceremony, and also a covered porch with some seating.
